A Parliament of Owls:
Just look what the lovely ladies at the Swan centre sewing group made yesterday. I had originally thought I would not be able to attend yesterdays meeting due to another commitment but I had gotten my dates mixed up. I realised that the ladies where not expecting me and therefore they would not have brought their cot quilts. I decided to cut out several Owl patterns from card, grabbed a bunch of scrap fabric from my basket and my button jar then set off. It was a really nice project to teach and I think the results speak for themselves.

Grestford Craft Exhibition:
I am so pleased with myself today because I drove to Gresford in Wales, to see there annual exhibition. I only went the wrong way twice which means I am improving tremendously on my little jaunts out and about. Still I got there safe and sound and that's all that matters. I normally attend this show with my friend Janet and she drives but I was unable to go with her yesterday. The exhibition was great but I expected nothing less and the weather was glorious sunshine. I came home with lots of ideas but only one fat quarter of fabric and even that was from Dot's bargain bag (sorry Dot lol). This week has been pretty busy but it has been one of the most pleasurable one I have had in a very long time. I need to get a wriggle on now with Cole's quilt if I am to enter it in Harrogate.

The Farmers Wife:
Look what arrived in the post yesterday. I devoured several pages last night before falling asleep. The letters are so lovely, they paint images of rural idealistic bliss. Each block has a name and it is all very interesting. At this moment in time the jury is out as to weather I ever make the sampler quilt?????? It is however a very beautiful quilt.

Bollywood Salmon:
I finally got round to making the fish project that Liz Wall designed and taught at our area day. The fish are Salmon and due to the type of embellishment used I felt there could be no other name for my mini quilt except "Bollywood Salmon". This was a lovely little project to do and was a welcome break in between the three quilts I am currently working on.

A Quilt For Cole:
At Last I am finally making a quilt for my gorgeous grandson Cole. Michaela has just moved into a new home and whilst giving me the grand tour I spotted some stickers on the windowsill in our Cole's room. Michaela had bought them to stick on his bedroom wall. Straight away I could see the potential of a lovely quilt to match. I took a sheet of the stickers home and yesterday I got out a new sketch book and set about designing a quilt incorporating the pictures. I had a sewing frenzy late last night and so far I have made three of the blocks. I an really excited with this project, so much so I have put my other two almost finished quilt tops aside.
