I am on a sewing roll.......

Meet Louie and he is all mine. On Sunday evening I received a message from my friend Holly asking if i would make her two bunnies, a boy and a girl. Now, I never make my bunnies to sell because people wouldn't pay the true price, even if I charged way below the minimum wage for labour there still not cheap.  Holly is a good friend and I decided seeing as I was on my sewing spree I would make them for her. I did give her a mates rates price and told her this was a very special one off. Then on Monday it was my mission to make the two bunnies.  They took me almost six hours from start to finish and Holly was delighted with them.  There was just enough of the piece of linen I had used to make Holly's two bunnies left for one more. I decided I wanted a little boy bunny to call my own. When it came to deciding what fabric to make his dungarees I struggled because I like each bunny to be unique. As I chose a fabric I could recall the person who's bunny had that fabric as his dungarees. Then I remembered Colin had offered me a shirt a few days ago as it had a stain on I couldn't get out and he wouldn't wear it any more. It was perfect I raided the wardrobe. I love the feel of worn cotton, the shirt was soft and smelt of washing powder and I love the colours of the checks.  Louie was born. He makes me smile every time I look at him sitting on my window sill. I think oh my if I was on the GBSB Patrick and May would certainly have something to say about my checks not meeting on his dungaree's and this makes me smile more because look what happened when I made the fist pair of trousers. :) happy sewing all. X
Ooooops :)

Love the bunny!! I know what you mean about pricing things, it's so difficult.People just do not understand how much time goes into making things. They just see the finished item .I'm glad you got to make one for yourself. Luv Joan.
